Priyanka’s Venture: Pradushan Mukti
Priyanka grew up dreading the monsoon. When the floodwaters recede, they leave garbage in their wake, choking the community with waste. Priyanka launched her Venture to combat the ignorance that drives pollution. Her efforts to raise awareness on waste segregation have targeted every segment of the community. She educates school children, getting them excited to become ambassadors of the environment, and uses their artwork for poster campaigns. She mobilizes these kids to take to the streets and march for awareness. Priyanka also speaks to small groups of older community members, converting them into champions of the cause. The Bombay Municipal Corporation took notice and asked Priyanka to submit a proposal on how to create a clean community. Thanks to her, the BMC has covered all open drains, increased the number of garbage collection points, and allocated funds to fight pollution in the community.

Hi Priyanka! Its really good that you are working for this… We really need to do something about this. I would like to know what you are doing currently. I would like to help too… I have been talking to my friends and encouraging them to start garbage segregation. Do get in touch.

Amazing.. making BMC noticing you shows that you have done something substantially good..
Why dont you look at other areas, outside your community. let BMC support you.

Hi Priyanka,
I was looking for something in this direction from a couple of months. Garbage segregation can help a lot in reducing pollution. Let me know what are you doing currently and do tell me if you have any requirements. Looking forward for your reply.

great work Priyanka !!! I wish people were more aware on the hazards of using plastic bags for daily grocery needs. This lack of awareness is the major culprit for clogged drains.. Contine the good work & pls let me know; if i can be of any help to you in your efforts. suhas katti
