Prabal’s Venture: Media 4 Change

Prabal, a former intern with a major newspaper, is disillusioned by the mainstream media.   He feels that commercial interests control the media, so that it serves advertisers rather than the public.  Prabal mobilized his fellow mass media students at Kirti College to create SLAP!, an independent newsletter that aspires to be a platform for social change. With a critical and defiant stance towards mainstream media, SLAP spotlights people who are working to improve society - including many Youth Venturers. The Team is working to expand circulation to reach all media students and media houses.
