Shahnaz’s Venture: Choti Si Asha

The illusion of parents being an obstacle for their child’s education was wiped out when Shahnaz, a teacher with Akanksha, learned that it was in fact children who did not realize the importance of education and dropped out from school. With the help of some introspection and interaction with the children, Shahnaz decided to engage the students by making education more interesting and fun through games and activities. She came up with an exceptional system which facilitates growth and creativity, thereby encouraging and motivating children to seek education. Shahnaz soon became busy with children between 5 and 9 years crowding her house on weekends at Antop Hill, Wadala, in search of knowledge. She envisions a brighter future for these kids and hopes to gain more dedicated team members in order to accommodate more children who need education. At Choti Si Asha (a small wish),  she hopes to nurture the feeling of self worth in each child.
