Rangu’s Venture - Bhulka Bhavan

Rangu works on the issue of education in her village Ucharda, rural Gujarat. The standard of education here was not good, she started working to help it progress in the right direction. Rangu began by giving tuitions to the children as she found them idling away their time not attending school. She was positive that their future would be bright if they take education seriously and so she persuaded their parents in encouraging them to study. She started teaching the children English, Gujarati, Mathematics. To make studies more exciting and fun she also makes them take part in drama, learn singing, play interactive games and visits to funfairs near the village. She started the classes while she was studying in college as a two hour session on weekends. She enjoys being with children and teaching them has fulfilled her long desired dream. A bright future and a happy life for the children is all that she wants to achieve. In the last 8 months the number of children attending her classes has increased manifold. The parents are very pleased with her work and have understood the benefits of education. More and more children are now voluntarily attending her classes and her team of volunteers have also increased helping her in improving the community.
