Khusboo’s Venture:  Disha

Khusboo helps young women transition from shelter life to whatever comes next.  She leads monthly workshops to help shelter residents develop the ability to solve problems and make life choices.  Khusboo realized that because of the shelter’s schedule and structure, residents rarely have the opportunity to make individual decisions for themselves. When these girls turn eighteen, they have to move out and into a world that demands problem-solving skills.  Helping these girls develop hard and soft skills enables them to be independent.
