Jayantubhai’s Venture - Gramya Shikshan

With his project on education the quest for learning began in Jayavantubhai’s village. The state of education was poor and it was very difficult for him to bring all the children together for studying, some of them playing the truant on most occassions. Overcoming various hurdles he worked towards increasing awareness and interest in education amongst the children and motivated them to take school seriously. Through his tuitions he has brought about remarkable changes in the children. In a short span of 8 months one can see that they have developed intellectually and now come across as mature individuals. They have started going to school regularly, making good use of what they are learning, studying hard and have started speaking in English. As the enthusiasm to study has increased Jayavantubhai feels more children in the future will be encouraged and join his classes. He proudly says, “Everybody studies in my village now.”
