Ganesh’s Venture: Vishwas

Ganesh, a student of Yashwant Rao Chavan College, has learned from his own experiences, the hurdles to staying in school for children from difficult backgrounds. Interacting with kids from his neighbourhood he found to his utter dismay that an increasing number of children were dropping out. He wanted to make sure that children who come from disadvantaged backgrounds continue to attend classes. Today, thanks to Ganesh, 40 children have gone back to studying at the Dongri Municipal School. His belief that nurturing and helping these kids to develop further while enjoy the learning experience will ensure they stay in school and continue their education. Through his Venture, Vishwas (belief), he organises spoken English classes which are regularly attended by at least 20 children. He conducts periodic meetings and follow ups to help motivate the children and even organises fun educational picnics to keep them inspired.
