Anil’s Venture - Shining Star

The villagers in Anil’s village had to draw water from a well which would dry up during the summer season while the tanks lay in a dilapidated condition. Further villagers from the nearby village had to travel all the way to the river Tapi in rickshaws in order to get water for their daily use. Anil and his team members took up the issue with the authorities at the district level. However when work still did not start he obtained help from the local newspaper and highlighted the plight of their village. Before long pipelines were laid in the entire village, hand pumps installed, bore wells and tanks repaired. The villagers started receiving water which they use for drinking, making it convenient to conduct their daily personal work. Shining Star has also funded a rubber pipe for the nearby village and have facilitated the repaired of all broken hand pumps. Work is still continuing under Anil and his team’s able surveillance. Mapping the progress that he and his team members have made in the last 8 months, Anil feels confident that he will bring about a significant change in his village. He also plans to start work towards improving the standard of education. His Venture, Shining Star, has emanated rays of hope and delight amongst the people in his and the neighbouring village.
